After the world discovered Cosby Show star Geoffrey Owens was working at Trader Joe's between acting gigs, Nicki Minaj announced on her Queen Radio show, that she would give the thespian $25,000 so he could quit his grocery store job.

The longtime actor responded by saying he was grateful for the gesture, but that he wanted to make his own way by auditioning like anyone else would. Two successful auditions later, Owens has been cast in Tyler Perry's The Haves And The Have Nots as well as upcoming thriller, Fatale

Despite his new jobs, Minaj made good on her promise, according to TMZ.

Owens accepted the money, but only in order to pay it forward, People reports.

"I would like to give this donation of $25k to the Actor’s Fund in memory of the late, great Earle Hyman — who played Cosby’s father, Russell, on The Cosby Show — who lived his last many years and died at the Actors’ Home, funded and run by the Actor’s Fund. I am extremely grateful to Nicki Minaj for enabling struggling actors to continue pursuing their dreams," the actor said.

Minaj is down with the donation.

"I'm happy to be a part of a great cause. I wish Geoffrey much success, and want him to know how loved he is. Rest in Peace to Earle Hyman," Minaj said.
