Social media has become an effective tool for punishing people for racist posts, especially when it comes to people's jobs. Some of the most memorable viral incidents of recent months have come when white people made racist posts about minorities. However, it looks like now the tables have turned.

According to the Indy Star, Indiana University Health (IU Health) registered nurse Taiyesha Baker decided to speak her piece about white boys and men via Twitter, and it may have cost her her job.

Baker tweeted that white women raised sons who were a "detriment to society," and said a white male is the member of society "with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, racist, killer, and domestic violence all star."

According to Indy Star, IU Health released a statement concerning a "recently hired IU Health employee" who wrote a "controversial tweet," noting that the referenced employee no longer works at the university.

IU Health did not specifically name Baker, however. They also didn't specify whether she was fired or resigned.

“IU Health is aware of several troubling posts on social media which appear to be from a recently hired IU Health employee," said IU Health spokesperson Jason Fechner in the statement. "Our HR department continues to investigate the situation and the authenticity of the posts. During the investigation, that employee (who does not work at Riley Hospital for Children) will have no access to patient care.”

Baker's Twitter account, @tai_fieri, has been deleted.
