Comedian Roy Woods Jr. has a poppin' career, but 15 years ago a hilarious mistake almost cost him a job.

Woods began the story with a lesson in radio station routines. Apparently, radio stations are ghost towns on Sunday mornings.

While the board operator was completing his tasks, Woods popped in to speak to him about a night he'd had with a rapper. Apparently, the tea was hot, because neither noticed when the computer began to malfunction.

The system was never restarted.

Eventually, the guys caught on, and fixed their error. Somehow, their bosses never noticed, and they definitely weren't going to snitch on themselves.

Surprisingly, the song was a hit with the gospel station's audience.

An honestly hilarious mistake.

Thankfully, both men have gone on to have great careers.
