Cardi B is speaking her mind once again! This time, concerning politics. And not just politics in general, but the politics of the highest office in the nation.

According to Yahoo! News, the chart-topper took to Instagram Live this week to talk about why she should run for president. 

“I really feel like I should run for president,” Cardi B said. “Maybe not in 2020, but maybe in 2024. I really feel like I should run for president because I have a lot of ideas that I feel like it would encourage a lot of young people, a lot of single mothers … motivate them to go to school and motivate them to get a job. You know what I’m saying? I also have a lot of ideas for taxpayers to not be so hurt on paying taxes, because we’re always going to have to pay taxes. The conclusion is that we’re always gonna have to pay tax, right?”

Speaking of taxes, Cardi B recently used Instagram to voice her concerns over what her tax money is being spent on. 

In her post musing a presidential run, Cardi also spoke about changing the welfare system, citing a woman she knows that “purposely had a lot of kids, so she could purposely get a lot of food stamp money.”

“I feel like a lot of people get welfare, get food stamps, live in projects, and a lot of people don’t have jobs, and a lot of people don’t want to get, don’t want to look for jobs,” she noted. “I know it’s hard to get a job, but I feel like there’s a lot of people that don’t even try to get a job. And I feel like it’s about that time that we make people try and get a job. You know what I’m saying?”

“I feel like America wants the poor people to keep being poor because they make it easy to stay poor,” Cardi B added.

Cardi B will only be 32 in 2024, which is younger than the constitutionally mandated minimum age of 35 for the presidential position. Maybe she'll shoot for 2028, instead. 

She has had a lot to say about politics lately, recently dragging the global hegemony in addition to speaking her piece on taxes.
