This will also mark the self-made billionaire‘s return to the stage since welcoming her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky last May.

Rihanna helped usher in the good news with a cryptic Instagram post that has garnered millions of likes in less than 24 hours. In the post, the entrepreneur’s heavily tattooed hand is seen holding an NFL-branded football.

News of the Super Bowl performance comes as a shock for fans who have been anxiously awaiting a new album from the Bajan queen. Her last album release, Anti, came in 2016, and since then, Rihanna has taken time away to focus on other endeavors such as fashion, film, and of course, her makeup and skincare line, Fenty Beauty.

While fans are anticipating what the pop princess could possibly bring to the stage in February, after a four year drought since the last time she’s graced a track with her presence, they’re not holding their breath on new music coming down the pipeline.
