Tyler Perry has proven his knack for generosity yet again.

The producer's latest good deed came in the form of the entertainment mogul paying $400K for items on layaway at two local Walmart stores, TMZ reports.

The only thing the customers were responsible for in exchange for their items is one penny. Initially, Perry wanted to make his contributions anonymous, but once the media got wind of his generous act, the filmmaker got on Twitter and told the masses.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the act of kindness was motivated by a Good Morning America segment the 49-year-old watched about secret Santas at Walmart who anonymously pay off layaway accounts at the store. Perry reportedly shelled out $178K at the Walmart at in East Point, Georgia, and a reported $256K at the 7001 Concourse Parkway location in Douglasville.

A manager at the Douglasville location said that she's seen folks pay outstanding layaway balances before, but nothing like this.

"I was shocked,"  she said. "It shows that we know there's still good people in the world."

Just a couple of months ago he bought one of his former employees and friend's ailing mother a home in Georgia, as Blavity previously reported.
