Several high-profile figures celebrated important milestones in their careers this week while others provided new gifts to their fans. NBA superstar LeBron James reached his milestone this week when he became first NBA player to acquire $1 billion in career earnings while still active. James' latest achievement comes after a successful debut of his movie, Space Jam: New Legacy, which earned 31.65 million in its first three days, according to Deadline.

Kanye West also brought joy to his fans when he premiered his new album Donda on Thursday at an event broadcast live from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The album, scheduled to drop on Friday, features JAY-Z, Pitchfork reported. It's the duo's first collaboration since they appeared on Drake’s 2016 song “Pop Style.” Other artists who appear on Kanye's album include Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, Pusha T, Baby Keem, Lil Baby and Lil Durk

Charlamagne Tha God announced that he will be the host of a new late-night TV talk show titled, Tha God’s Honest Truth With Lenard “Charlamagne” McKelvey. The weekly talk show, produced by Charlamagne and Stephen Colbert, is a half-hour series which will feature “the most pressing topics permeating politics and culture” through “deep dives, sketches, and social experiments.”

“This is one of those moments where I can show you better than I can tell you,” Charlamagne said, according to Vulture. “This is the third talk show Chris McCarthy [president and CEO of MTV Entertainment Group] has done with me and those shows prepared me for this opportunity. My South Carolina brethren Stephen Colbert is the ultimate cosign in the late night space and he wouldn’t cosign no bullshit! We are going to win an Emmy next year for best lighting direction I can feel it!!!” 


Sha’Carri Richardson joined Kanye West to star in a new ad for Beats By Dre. The ad shows Richardson preparing to take off from the starting blocks on a track while dressed in Nike gear, as Blavity previously reported. The scene then shifts to the track star doing warm up exercises while showing off her signature nails and her red wig. West sings in the background, saying “He’s done miracles on me," as Richardson rubs her hands together and looks up to the sky. 

The one-minute ends with the sprinter back on the starting blocks and running in slow motion.
