Sigh. The trend of calling 911 on black people for an everyday harmless activity like existing, seeking shelter from rain and selling water isn't a beloved pastime exclusive to white folk. 

In a viral video, included below, an Asian woman pushing a baby stroller called police on a black man for smoking cigarettes. That is all he was doing. Smoking cigarettes.

“He’s smoking cigarettes,” the woman told the 911 operator.

She reported that the area was a non-smoking spot.

“They also videotaped me because I’m letting them know.”

“You’re being a clown,” the man responded before ending the video. “Have a great day.”

The video, posted by the Atlanta Black Star, has reached over 65,000 views and is coupled with comments of confusion as viewers watch one POC alert police about another.

“How quick they forget the times they weren’t welcome here either,” one Facebook user wrote.

“People of all races smoke where it is prohibited,” another user wrote. “I hate walking through the stench, but it is up to management to enforce the rules for everyone.”

According to the video’s caption, the woman called police on the man because he was smoking in front of a building with a no-smoking sign and continued to follow the man for blocks, asking that he delete the video. He didn't.
