Beyoncé and Jay-Z Dedicate Detroit Show To Ailing Aretha Franklin
Prayers up for one of music's most endearing soul singers.
Two of music's most influential artists, Queen Bey and Jay-Z, paid tribute to ailing legendary soul and R&B singer Aretha Franklin in her hometown of Detroit.
While stopping in the Motor City on Monday, August 13, as part of their On the Run II tour, the Carters sent well-wishes to Franklin as she battles an undisclosed illness.
“This show is dedicated to Aretha Franklin,” Bey said. “We love you and thank you.”
