When Cardi B decided to join the final leg of Bruno Mars' 24K Magic tour, she admits she underestimated the effect that being a mother would have on her career. The 25-year-old "I Like It" rapper announced on Thursday, July 26, that she would no longer be participating in the tour as her focus is on her new baby girl.

“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing,” the new mommy wrote.

“Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road," she continued. "I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make, but I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby!”

The Bronx-bred rapper and husband Offset welcomed Kulture Kiari Cephus on July 10. Cardi's decision to stay home with her new bundle of joy was overwhelmingly met with support from fans who understood the need to take time for family.

Bruno Mars offered his blessings and support for Cardi via Twitter.

The two artists collaborated on a remix single of Mars' song "Finesse," but we're sure that isn't the last collab we'll see from the two.

Way to take the time to focus on your health, Cardi. Well wishes for you and baby Kulture!
