Each year, people plan for Halloween in advance so they can perfectly execute the ensemble they plan to rock that night. The outfits that get the most recognition and always go viral seem to be popular TV and movie characters. Since Halloween falls on a Thursday this year, many of the platform’s users showed off their costumes over the weekend. Check out some below that got great responses.

‘Sister, Sister’

The 1990s hit show starred twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry who played the roles of long-lost siblings who were separated and adopted by two different people. After they accidentally ran into each other one day at the mall, their adoptive single parents decided to live together so the girls could have a chance to develop a bond. For years, Tia and Tamera have inspired Halloween costumes.

‘That’s So Raven’

In the first season of the Disney Channel sitcom, Raven dressed up as the persona of a fictional international pop star, Liz Anya, to persuade a pretentious restaurant owner to rehire her father as a chef. What many believed to be a phony celebrity turned out to be real when Liz Anya reappeared during the season one finale episode of Raven’s Home. However, this time, it wasn’t Raven impersonating her; it was the actual star she had mimicked a decade earlier.

‘The Cheetah Girls’

The first song that The Cheetah Girls sang in their first movie was “Cinderella,” one of the film franchise’s biggest songs. The most noteworthy outfits that the girls wear when cosplaying them are the group’s outfits when they reunite at the end of the film.

‘Star’

Lee Daniels’ Empire universe series followed Star Davis (Jude Demorest) Simone Davis (Brittany O’Grady) and Alex Crane (Ryan Destiny), talented singers and dancers looking for a big break in the music industry. The women were a force when they came together as a group, but their differences and struggles within and outside of music were the center of their conflict.

Alex and Star are portrayed in the below TikTok, which uses the song “Imagination,” from the show.

‘Ma’

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer tapped into a different side her fans hadn’t seen when she took on the role of Sue Ann, a lonely middle-aged woman. She befriends some teenagers and lets them party in her basement, but her kindness turns into a dangerous obsession causing her new acquaintances terror. Scenes from the movie tend to go viral a lot of social media, which makes it a perfect Halloween theme.

‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’

During Season 6, when NeNe Leakes decided to visit castmate Kenya Moore’s temporary home as a newcomer to the city, it became an unforgettable moment that people now love to reference

‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’

Dr. Iyanla Vanzant is a New York Times bestselling author, life coach and so much more. During her time as a producer of her self-titled show on OWN, where she helped families come together, the reality TV series was the No. 1 show on the network during its run. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Hazel E’s episode had some serious points that were unexpectedly funny.

‘Love Island USA’

The U.S. version of the hit reality franchise hit is footing and became a viral sensation with its sixth season. The competition series focuses on single men and women who settle into a luxurious villa, looking for love and a memorable summer. The winning couple was Serena Page and Kordell Beckham, who became the couple everyone was rooting for.
