It looks like Nicki Minaj isn't the only person who had a problem with Travis Scott's Astroworld. If you've had a chance to check out Scott's latest studio project, you may have noticed one of the tracks feature the highly recognized vocals of Frank Ocean. However, according to TMZ, the singer has filed a cease-and-desist order to have his vocals removed from the single.
Ocean's voice was reportedly not approved to appear on "Carousel" in the manner in which it does. While the vocalist has not given specifics as to why he would like to be removed from the song, many believe it has to do with the alterations in his voice. Scott, who is notorious for his use of autotune, added the treatment to Ocean's vocals.
frank ocean putting a cease and desist on travis scott to remove his carousel verse is typical frank ocean behavior lmao

the frank ocean-travis scott thing is weird because you’d think an artist at frank’s level would have some sort of final say on how he’ll sound on someone else’s final album. not all feature artists get that courtesy, but c’mon, it’s frank. he’s picky—choice, if you want.

Astroworld has received mostly positive reviews. The album also features appearances from James Blake, Stevie Wonder and Drake. Before Ocean's call to action, the only negativity surrounding the album was Nicki Minaj's flagrant irritation that her Queen album debut took second place next to the rapper's. She cited merch sales, Kylie Jenner and baby Stormi Webster as the culprits behind the ranking.
Scott has yet to publicly address the cease-and-desist; however, he reportedly has no plans to remove Ocean from the track, according to TMZ. He is also currently touring the album for the remainder of the year, so we can only hope things don't get too messy.
