Actor Idris Elba has tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre in Marrakesh, Morroco.

In a beautiful and grandiose ceremony, the two exchanged vows Friday at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh. The couple has been dating since 2017. Elba proposed to the East African model and former Miss Vancouver last year during a screening of his film Yardie  in east London. They have made major appearances since, including showing up at the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

According to Vogue UK, the wedding was only one moment of a weekend full of festivities. On Thursday, family and close friends celebrated the new union with the "Colors of the Souk" themed dinner at the Amanjena. On Saturday, they will be part of an all-white party at the Mandarin Oriental, which will be essentially a grand festival.

The bride wore two regal dresses by Vera Wang, The Guardian reports. Both dresses were white but they were set apart because of their distinctive necklines. One was a traditional off-the-shoulder white A-line gown with a white veil. The other was a V-neck-styled dress bespectacled with pearls and gemstones.

Fans of the Luther star were happy and saddened to see their chances with the handsome actor disappear.

Elba, who is a London native with Sierra Leone and Ghanaian heritage, is on his third marriage.
