Former NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater just reached a major feat at his new job.

The now-retired NFL star, who left the league in 2023, won a high school football state championship at his almamater in Florida.

Miami Northwestern Senior High School won their first state title since 2019. They defeated William Raines Senior High from Jacksonville in a 41-0 win.

Bridgewater started in the role earlier this year after the team had a record of 4-6 last year. Now, this year, the team went 12-2, including a 10-game winning streak, as Sports Illustrated reported.

Teddy Bridgewater’s NFL background

Bridgewater was in the NFL for 10 seasons, and was drafted No. 32 overall by the Minnesota Vikings. During that decade, he played for seven teams. The last team he played for was the Detroit Lions in 2023.

Prior to the NFL, he was quarterback in high school for Miami Northwestern. He played college football at Louisville, winning Big East Rookie of the Year and Sugar Bowl MVP, per ESPN.
